Geoff Berner Trio

Friday, November 9th 2018

For the past 15 years or so, Jewish-Canadian accordion player/singer-songwriter/novelist Geoff Berner has travelled the world. He’s played in bars, cafes, festivals, and the occasional stadium. He’s performed in 17 countries, on national radio in 7 of them.

All over Canada, Europe, and America, Berner has garnered a sizable, passionate following of odd, bookish people who like to drink. He packs venues in places like Berlin, London, Oslo, Zurich, Seattle, Toronto, Edmonton and his home city of Vancouver.

With a new album, new book and upcoming tours of Canada, continental Europe, the Pacific northwest of the U.S., and Scandinavia, Berner is officially on a roll.

Heofon with Hunting Giants

Doors at 9pm

$10 Members
$15 Guests

Heofon is a Mystic-prog-rock band from the Sunshine Coast, BC, Canada. With lush ambient bridges, between melodic swells and surges of distortion, Heofons music will certainly take you on a journey. With musical influences like Tool, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, King Crimson, Primus and many others, the sound of Heofon is hard to define, though currently nests within the progressive/post-rock genres.

Hunting Giants

Birthed from decades of preparation and the inspired seizing of opportunity, Hunting Giants is a four-piece progressive hard-rock band from Vancouver, BC, whose purpose is to inspire the personal evolution of listeners. Formed at the beginning of 2018 with a mantra of revitalizing a staled musical landscape by fusing sounds and genres in ways that demand fevered attention, Hunting Giants offers an explosive and spectacular visuals-driven live performance that exceeds the precise ferocity of their recordings.

We found a Lovebird

Saturday, June 8th 2019

We Found a Lovebird with Never Was
“Stuck in the proverbial lobby of Vancouver’s music scene, We Found a Lovebird find themselves perched on the edge of genres; not hard enough to hang with the metal guys, not poppy enough to bop with the indie folk, and certainly not punk enough to rage with the punks” – but not fitting in seems to agree with them. - The Georgia Straight
