These players love Iron Maiden, who have been giving us great music since the 80s — and still do world tours to this day — selling out large stadiums around the world.
So they started from IM's very first album, to play as many tunes from yesterday and are working their way through the albums to bring you Maiden BC. With an always-changing set list, they still make sure they play the classics that made Iron Maiden who they are.

Vancouver-based funk rock dance band Ripple Illusion is a fresh take on a retro sound, mixing together musical influences from a variety of different eras. Blending inspirations ranging from Motown to R&B and modern rock, the band has created a truly unique brand of piano-driven rock and roll. The band was created in fall 2014 by Mike Turner, also of the accomplished Canadian Rock and Roll outfit Damn Fools. Inspired by his experience in the 2014 Peak Performance Project, Turner decided to join forces with longtime friend and blues musician, Caroline Allatt. Together, they realized their musical influences were complimentary and they began incorporating tight vocal harmonies into the fabric of Turner’s dynamic instrumentation and musical arrangements.

The band recorded their self-titled debut EP in late 2014, which is due out in May 2015. The EP opens with "Back to the Start", a song that seamlessly weaves between hard hitting rock and dreamy R&B balladry to deliver an infectiously hopeful message. From there, the album consistently returns to the theme of longing for truth in a world that provides us mere illusions. The band will be hitting the road across BC & Alberta this summer in support of their self-titled EP. From there, the future looks promising for a group that seems to have all the tools to be a large part of Canada’s music scene for years to come.

The Walk-on Dead are a roots-rock band modelled in the fine tradition of collective improvisation. Two members of White Rock’s power-folk band Token Rhyme, currently on indefinite hiatus, were looking for a change of pace after six years of playing mostly original music, peppered with selected covers of Wilco, Steve Earle, REM, Cracker, and the Grateful Dead. Looking to delve deeper into the latter’s repertoire, Sean Schonfeld and James Sanders (guitar/vocals and bass) hooked up with Bowen Islanders James Tuer and Peter Dives (lead guitar and drums), and it was clear after the first get together that there was something worth developing into a stage act. After six months of rehearsals a sound emerged, combining James’ creative, vintage feel and swirling tonal colour with Sean’s edgy, rhythmic counterpoint, bringing a new yet familiar take to the legacy of the music. Peter’s extensive stage experience and James’ fluid, intuitive bass playing round out a lean group that is ready to roll, with sets leaning heavily on classic Dead favorites, folk, americana, and attitude.

Members: Peter Dives (drums), James Sanders (bass), Sean Schonfeld (guitar/vocals), James Tuer (guitar)

With the release of her eponymous first record, Ashley Shadow has at long last taken centre stage after over a decade of valuable contributions to highly regarded, diverse musical acts. Though bestowed with a strong voice both lulling and bracing in its quality, Ashley spent the first five years of her musical career playing bass guitar for rock-noir outfit The Organ before recording and/or touring with Bonnie Prince Billy, Pink Mountaintops and Lightning Dust.

This Full length debut endeavours to find certainty amidst incessant change and ensures that her talent -- a secret long known around her home of Vancouver, British Columbia -- will be shared with the rest of the world's melody lovers. Enlisting the help of producer and multi-instrumentalist Josh Wells (Black Mountain), guitarists Ryan Beattie (Himalayan Bear) Peter Le Grand and Darcy Hancock, Ashley Shadow has asserted an independent stake in the musical community she has enriched for so long.
